On   February 19–20, Alcyon Italia and Overvet organized the theoretical–practical course “Pedro System®: an innovative approach to spinal traumatology” at the conference room of Alcyon Italia’s headquarters in Cherasco (CN).

PEDRO SYSTEM® PRESENTATION
Eng. Lorenzo Mandelli
Overmed Research and Development Engineer

Eng. Lorenzo Mandelli presented the technical aspects of Pedro System®, illustrating the research and development behind the system as well as the tests carried out in collaboration with the Politecnico di Milano.

CLINICAL CASE PRESENTATION AND PRACTICAL APPLICATION
Dr. Massimo Baroni
DVM, Dipl. ECVN – Head of Neurology Service at
Valdinievole Veterinary Clinic

Dr. Massimo Baroni provided an in-depth analysis of a clinical case including a CT examination, discussing in detail the diagnostic and surgical approach.
He also highlighted the main advantages of the system compared with previous applications in spinal traumatology.

The practical session (dry lab) allowed participants to apply the Pedro System on an anatomical model that exactly reproduced the lumbosacral portion observed in the CT scan of the presented clinical case, offering a highly immersive and hands-on experience.

A high-level educational event that successfully combined research, technological innovation, and clinical application.
