We are at Politecnico di Milano for the XV Annual Meeting of the Italian Chapter of the European Society of Biomechanics (ESB-ITA).
 
Two days dedicated to biomechanics, research and innovation, bringing together researchers, professionals and experts to share knowledge and explore new developments in the field.
 
For Overvet, biomechanics plays a key role in the research and development of advanced solutions for veterinary surgery. Being here means strengthening the connection between scientific research, engineering and clinical practice.

The development of the navigated spinal surgery project with Imaginalis continues to gain momentum, marking 𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲 in this exciting journey.
 
This meeting represented an 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 in a project that continues to grow thanks to the combined expertise of surgeons, engineers and technology innovators, all working toward the same objective: 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀.
 
We are particularly proud to be involved in such a pioneering and forward-thinking initiative.

UNISVET  Veterinary neurosurgery May 2026

Overvet had the pleasure of taking part in an important event dedicated to veterinary neurosurgery organized by UNISVET, a valuable opportunity for discussion, professional development, and knowledge sharing among specialists in the field.
 
For the Overvet team, it was an important occasion to present PEDRO System®, our vertebral stabilization system specifically developed for veterinary spinal surgery, exploring its principles, surgical applications, and clinical experience.
 
A particularly valuable moment was the hands-on wet lab session, which allowed participants to directly explore surgical techniques and the practical application of the system through an interactive and practical approach.
 
We strongly believe that hands-on training and knowledge sharing are essential elements in supporting the growth of veterinary neurosurgery and the evolution of spinal stabilization techniques.
 
Our sincere thanks to UNISVET for the invitation and to Prof. Angela Fadda for involving us in this important initiative.

Special thanks as well to our Eng. Luca Ciriello for the technical presentation, and to Dr. Omar Del Vecchio for sharing his clinical and practical experience with the participants.

VETERINAY SPINAL SURGERY CONGRESS WITH ALCYON APRIL 2026

Together with ALCYON Italia, we took part in one of the most relevant events in the field of veterinary spinal surgery.
 
On this occasion, we presented PEDRO System®: a unique solution, the first entirely designed and manufactured in Italy for modern veterinary spinal surgery, introducing an innovative approach to stabilization with pedicle screws, rods, and cages.
 
Our sincere thanks to the organizers and to Dr. Cristian Falzone for the invitation and the excellent organization of the event.
 
Special recognition also goes to the outstanding panel of international speakers, representing the highest level of European and global neurosurgery.

Thank you to the Politecnico di Milano for inviting us to take part in yesterday’s lecture dedicated to the design of our spinal fixation system PEDRO SYSTEM (Overvet), developed for the veterinary sector.
 
Our CEO Davide Pizzamiglio and Eng. Lorenzo Mandelli also attended the session, contributing valuable technical and strategic insights.
 
Engaging with students who were so well-prepared, curious, and involved was truly inspiring: the classroom was full and enriched by relevant and in-depth questions, a clear sign of the strong potential within this field’s next generation.
 
A heartfelt thank you goes to Prof. Eng. Luigi La Barbera for the invitation and the opportunity to share our experience, and to all the students for the enthusiasm and interest they brought to the discussion.

Rimini, SCIVAC Congress 2025

On the occasion of SCIVAC Rimini 2025, the most important national congress dedicated to small animal veterinary medicine, we had the honor of being hosted by Alcyon Italia at the event “Vertebral fixation with polyaxial implants using our PEDRO System®.”

Our sincere thanks to Prof. Dr. Massimo Baroni for his participation in our event and for sharing his valuable surgical cases and the two-year follow-up from the first implantation procedures performed using our system.

As documented by Prof. Baroni himself, the application of the Pedro System in spinal traumatology opens up new and significant clinical perspectives, extending its potential also to colleagues working in orthopedic surgery.
